Artist Futures Fund
Every order sets an artist in motion. The Artist Futures Fund directs 1% of every order to emerging artists through microgrants, materials, and studio time. We also help them stage early exhibitions that build careers. The aim is to preserve and accelerate the arts by giving working talent the tools, time, and momentum to grow.
Passports to Tomorrow
Places shape our memories, and we have a responsibility to care for them. The Passports of Tomorrow Fund directs 1% of every order to conservation and restoration in the communities our artists call home and our customers hold dear. This is our thank you to the landscapes that make the art possible.
I'm Cam. Modern Daydream began the year we took our two boys out of school to travel the world. Days started with early walks, and we often ended up in art museums together. Our phones quickly filled with photos and little videos that felt deeply sentimental. At the same time, I'd hit a professional plateau and felt lost and uninspired. I wanted to build something that aligned with my true self, something I could create with my kids. After a visit to the Picasso Museum in Málaga, we stepped onto the cobblestones and met an older painter selling small canvases. I realized there are extraordinary artists the world walks past every day.
I started commissioning artists in different cities to translate a few of our family photos. The pieces came back better than memory. That became Modern Daydream: human-made art from your memorable moments, framed, with a short Memory Card from your words and an Artist Card introducing its maker. A share of every order supports our Artist Futures Fund and Passports of Tomorrow Fund. Because if we lose the arts and the places we love, we lose the human experience.

What do you create from my photo?
Human-made, custom artwork from a lived moment. An artist from our global circle interprets your photo by hand, and we deliver it framed, ready to hang.
Do I see a proof?
We paint directly to protect the process and momentum, guiding style and composition to suit your photo. If anything needs clarity, we’ll reach out before we begin.
What kind of photo works best?
Candid or posed; both can be great. Portraits or landscapes work too. Send us the original file with a clear subject, natural or evenly lit indoor/outdoor light, and a sense of place help most.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes: United States, UK, Canada, much of the EU, Singapore, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.
What if something’s wrong on arrival?
If the wrong item, size, or print arrives, or your piece is damaged in transit, we’ll replace it. Please tell us within 48 hours of delivery.
What if I need to change or cancel my order?
You can cancel or change within 60 minutes of purchase. After 60 minutes, requests are granted at our discretion because artists often begin right away. If we can help, we always will.
Do you do animals as well?
Yes. We capture your pet’s spirit through their eyes, quirks, and their environment. Clear features, good light, and a touch of their world help us do them justice.
